The Bacardi Ocho Lounge is located in downtown
Miami’s American Airlines Arena. The lounge is the
venue’s premier nightlife spot, created for guests to
drink, dine and socialise. With a feel akin to Miami’s
eclectic nightlife scene, it also exudes opulence
and glamour.
To add to this, we designed a stunning curtain of light brandishing the venue’s name. Created
from cracked glass side sparkle fiber, in mirrored
ceiling panels with Quasar Decorative LED illuminators,
the light feature is an elegant focal point
within the luxurious space.

During 2015 the award-winning luxury bathroom retailer conducted a major overhaul of its Waterloo showroom, almost doubling the size of its premises and transforming the space into a stylish haven where the architect and design community can take inspiration from the latest products and samples.
Specialist lighting design practice Studio Fractal, were tasked with designing the large fiber optic and LED lighting features that occupy the reception area to the front of the showroom and coffee bar to the rear, and approached us to carry out the manufacturing and installation of the custom pieces.
On entering the showroom customers pass below the impressive copper chandelier which measures 4500mm in diameter and contains our own fiber optic and LED lights. Protruding from the mirror polished stainless steel base are two hundred pieces of copper pipe which vary in length and contain our fiber optic lights. Four of our 90w Sirius LED illuminators are used to power the fiber optics and give the light its atmospheric twinkling white glow, while fifty of our LD2 LED downlights are set into the base of the chandelier and provide functional lighting onto the floor below.
Situated above the coffee bar at the rear of the showroom is the large eye-catching copper maze which we custom made to perfectly fit the building’s exposed brick archways. Spanning more than 7500mm wide the structure comprises of three layers of support frames and more than sixty copper pipes which were manipulated into shape before sixty custom lamp holders and LED eco filaments were applied. Due to the sheer size of the structure it was transported in multiple sections and constructed on site by our installation team.

UFO & Unlimited Light were delighted to be chosen by Notholt Lighting Design to supply this stunning ceiling feature which won the Art:Bespoke category at the Darc Awards 2022.
Notholt Lighting Design collaborated with Axthelm Rolvien Architekten for the interior and exterior lighting design of Donner & Reuschel, a private bank situated in a historical building in the heart of Hamburg.
The interior lighting was shaped to reflect classy hanseatic restraint and elegance. Skilfully, the lighting sets accents to underline the visual axes. A bespoke light artwork in the entrance hall completed the overall concept.
The floating light sculpture is inspired by a sickle shape of fiber glass elements with conical brass and white glass end pieces, which embraces the inviting lounge area in the entrance hall. Walking down the pavement alongside the historical building, a delightful view of the light installation opens up through the window. From inside, the surrounding architecture allows a sweeping view of the scenery, from the lounge area the visitor can peer straight up through the swarm of light.
The light sculpture is pending from 0.12 m below the ceiling to 1.70 m above floor level resulting in a total height of 3.66 m. The room’s height measures 5.48 m. The sculpture is anchored to the ceiling with 12 eyebolts. It consists of a four-part metal canopy with a diameter of 4,2 meters on which the 720 fibre glass elements are suspended at 13 different drop heights. Four UFO Quasar LED illuminators positioned on top of the canopy, each with a bespoke color wheel, enable the lighting moods to be changed throughout the day. Sitting down in one of the comfortable lounge chairs, the visitor is magically enfolded in the installation’s swaying threads.
The project presented interesting design and electrical challenges. Several attempts were required to create the right spaces and heights between the multitude of individual fiber optic cables and finding an elegant way of attaching the conical brass end pieces. In addition, the right illuminators and optical fibers had to be selected to ensure that everything lines up perfectly. Finally, the lighting sculpture floats softly and elegantly in space, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and casts you under its magical spell.

UL designed and manufactured a stunning fiber optic chandelier
for the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This custom solution emblazens the Hard Rock logo across the ceiling of
the casino, created from 11 fiber harnesses.

With an overall drop of 7.02m, this chandelier immediately captures attention as visitors enter the lobby of this architecturally
impressive casino hotel.

The fiber optic floor pavers are powered with a choice of LED illuminators depending on whether you want white light or colorchange with remote control.
